POLITICAL TSUNAMI IN KOGI EAST
OLAMABORO, KOGI STATE – In a historic and massive political alignment that has effectively reshaped the political landscape of Kogi East, the Ododo Defence Forum (ODF) has been officially launched in Olamaboro Local Government Area.
The launch, which was spearheaded by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Kogi State Governor on Grassroot Mobilization and State Coordinator of the Forum, Hon. Amodu Khalid Abdulrahaman, drew thousands of critical stakeholders, community leaders, youth organizations, and market women in a decisive declaration of unalloyed loyalty and total commitment to the re-election of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The establishment of the Olamaboro chapter marks a strategic milestone in the forum’s state-wide mandate to serve as the frontline defenders of Governor Ododo’s grassroots infrastructural revolution, inclusive governance style, and unprecedented security masterstroke.
Speaking at the launch, Hon. Amodu Khalid Abdulrahaman emphasized that Olamaboro has historically been a decisive political epicenter in Kogi State. He declared that the launch of the Ododo Defence Forum solidifies the local government as an impenetrable fortress for the All Progressives Congress (APC), ensuring that the grassroots are fully mobilized ahead of the re-election campaign.
The forum highlighted three structural pillars driving the total unification of Olamaboro and the entire Kogi East zone behind the Governor:

Governor Ododo’s administration has consistently broken administrative boundaries by prioritizing the socio-economic empowerment of rural populations, bringing the dividends of democracy directly to the doorsteps of the common man.

Through massive investments in security infrastructure—including the fortification of military formations and local vigilante networks—the Governor has effectively restored peace to Kogi communities, ensuring that farmers can return to their farmlands securely.

The administration has smashed the old, toxic narratives of ethnic jingoism by operating an all-inclusive government where every segment of Kogi State, particularly the people of Kogi East, are given high-level political representation and empowerment.
The Ododo Defence Forum in Olamaboro has now been fully structured into polling units, wards, and local government hierarchies to drive a seamless, aggressive, and issue-based mobilization campaign.
The forum sends a clear, unambiguous message to political detractors and opposition elements: Olamaboro has already signed a sacred covenant with continuity, and the grassroots are entirely resolved to deliver a resounding, landslide victory for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
